I am a Clinical EFT Practitioner with EFT Universe. My passion is working with individuals dealing with addictions. I started my own recovery journey from addiction 35 years ago. At that time my life was in complete shambles and I had destroyed every meaningful relationship I had. I was a total mess when I finally hit my bottom.
In the beginning I learned how to manage my addiction by controlling my behaviors and cravings on a daily bases, always with the fear of relapse looming over me. It wasn't until later when I learned about how trauma can be the fuel driving my addictions that I decided to look outside the rooms of recovery for help. I knew I struggled with emotional, physical, and spiritual trauma from my childhood, but I didn't know what to do about it. Then there was the guilt and shame that came along with my addict life. For years I tried to control all this hurt and pain, and figured this was how my life was going to be. Nothing I tried really gave me the freedom I hoped for.
Then I found a book on tapping. Until now I had never heard of tapping. After reading the book I found myself reading books on Clinical EFT (tapping) and the science behind it. Then I started working with a practitioner while learning how to use EFT myself. In time the emotional memories around my traumatic past faded away and I found myself experiencing a new feeling, a feeling of freedom.
Since then, I have gone on to become certified in Clinical EFT and continue to learn how trauma effects addictions.
There was once a time when I thought I had nothing to offer, but now I find myself in a position where I have a lot to offer. Years of pain are now my greatest assets when it comes to helping another person trying to find their way out of their addiction.
Today I’m no longer that person who for years fought a losing battle with himself. Now thanks to Clinical EFT, I feel like I’m a new person who has been given a second chance at living a life free of addictions.
